I would like to share with you several key highlights from our most recent Board meeting. As fiscal stewards of the TMD, the Board annually conducts financial audits, and we are pleased to report that the recently conducted audit was very positive.
In addition, we welcomed three new members to our TMD Board of Directors: Michael Newcombe, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles Beverly Hills; Aaron Saliba, General Manager, Crowne Plaza Los Angeles Harbor; and Ken Pilgrim, General Manager, The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites. We look forward to benefitting from each leader’s expertise and perspective as we continue to focus on executing the TMD’s long-term strategy.
The TMD Board of Directors will meet in October to approve the CY 2019 budget and program of work, to be presented by the L.A. Tourism’s Executive Team. Thank you to many of you who contributed valuable feedback for next year’s plans at our Regional meetings this summer. Please remember, this is your Tourism Marketing District and we openly encourage your ideas and feedback.
