The LATMD conducted its annual meeting with General Managers and Directors of Sales & Marketing from TMD hotels in the five regions of the City of Los Angeles on March 21, 2019 at The LINE Hotel.
Los Angeles Tourism Senior Vice President Patti MacJennett provided the Chairman’s report, highlighting the TMD’s role in reaching 50 million visitors and the robust growth of TMD collections within the last six years.
LACTD Executive Director Doane Liu shared details of the proposed Convention Center transformation project, reviewing its overall goals and vision, and also provided an update on the development of a tourism master plan, which will address infrastructure and service needs in preparation for the future of tourism in L.A.
Los Angeles Tourism SVP of Sales Darren Green shared updates on sales efforts domestically and internationally while CMO Don Skeoch and members of the marketing team reviewed their ongoing global activities including the latest brand campaign, new destination website, immersive tech efforts, IPW 2019 in Anaheim as well as the L.A. Insider online training program.
